Northern Queensland

Last weekend was the Cloncurry Mardi Gras and Rodeo. I could not believe the "rigs" that were pulling into town!!! Camper trailers and horse/bull boxes of all shapes and sizes were a eye-opener of note!! I thought that cowboys were from the American Wild West, well, they aint seen nothing yet!!! This is cowboy country!!! As you can see by the photos, even the shops are geared for it. The mine I am on is about 40km out of town and on shift change we hit town for a steak. I had the biggest[and nicest] T bone I have ever eaten. Must have weighed about 1kg at least. But then I suppose that's how cowboys like their steaks!!!
